Plant Pick of the Month

Bleeding Heart "King of Hearts"
Dicentra

Bears rosy-pink, heart-shaped flowers nonstop all summer!
Lacy blue-gray foliage is 12 to 15 inches high and 18 to 24 inches wide!

Descended from the rare Japanese D. peregrina and the easy-care, American D. formosa ssp. Oregana and D. eximia, this plant bears rosy-pink, heart-shaped flowers nonstop all summer. Lacy blue-gray foliage is 12 to 15 inches high and 18 to 24 inches wide.

Adding delicate texture to the shade garden, these are classic American garden favorites. Our hybrids are floriferous and carefree.

Plant in full to part shade and rich soil. Tolerate full sun where summers are cool. Heavy-division bareroots are ready to establish. Zones 4-9.

This site contains information for anyone interested in gardens, flowers, and plants. Also home Projects. The Alternative Garden Club is a place for Gays, Lesbians, and Friends, to share ideas and meet new friends with similar interests.

We meet the first Wednesday of every month, at the sugarhouse garden building, 7:30 PM. To get there take 2100 south east past Sugarhouse park (past 1300 east) till you reach the end of the park. The Garden building is at the very east end of the park
